In terms of creating the show, it was actually created by Perez Minton productions. It was one of my favorite shows. Actually as I am writing this message, I am up watching Gullah Gullah Island on Nic jr. Even at the age of 21 I am still excited and just as mush interested as I was when I was a little girl. I remember many many years ago sitting and enjoying “Gullah Gullah Island” and was going through the tv schedule one day looking for something that I could record for my 2 year old daughter. I saw Gullah Gullah smiled and thought ” O wow!!!! I loved that show. I wonder if Allie would like it” So the next morning she watched it and fell in love! It is now the only show that she will watch. Thank you guys soooo much!!

I had a bunch saved on my DVR but we had to cut out the cable bill so, POOF. My older kids (24, 22, 17) grew up watching in the 90s, but my “surprise” baby is only 5 and she also loves it.
